“Shiva and I always wanted a traditional Hindu Wedding. Since our engagement on January 30, 2017, we started planning for our celebrations, which eventually included a Mehindi Night (Thursday before the wedding), and the Maticoor night held at both the bride and groom’s respective houses. On our wedding day, preparations started as early as 6 am. Both of us were dressed from 8 am in the morning! We arrived at the temple by 12:30 pm, where rituals and the ceremony continued for another 2.5 hours. After the ceremony, we took photographs and headed to the Groom’s house. Our reception had a short programme, followed by dinner and a party afterwards.
